SEND Teaching Assistant – Start ASAP

We are currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to start ASAP at a welcoming school in Ickenham.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them thrive in a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Role Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND

Support children with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties

Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management

Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation

Support pupils with personal care where required

Create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment

Requirements

Experience working with children with SEND (school or care setting)

Calm, patient, and empathetic approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
