Brunel University of London has teaching opportunities in China for a well-qualified and motivated EAP practitioner who is passionate about learning and teaching.

- Location: North China University of Technology (NCUT), Beijing, People’s Republic of China or Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications (CQUPT), Chongqing, People’s Republic of China.
- Salary: Grade 7: £38,249 to £45,413 per annum, with potential to progress to £49,559 per annum (the equivalent in CNY) through sustained exceptional contribution (Pro-rata to 36 weeks per year)
- Hours: Full‑time for 36 weeks per year
- Contract Type: Fixed Term 1 year
- Posting Dates: 13/02/2026 – 19/02/2026
The post‑holder will be based in China for the duration of the programme and will work closely with NCUT or CQUPT, the Brunel Language Centre and the College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences. The teaching and assessment periods are organised into two 16‑week blocks (9 March‑26 June and 21 September‑8 January). These dates are anticipated but may change. The start date may be adjusted to allow time for obtaining the appropriate work permit.
During the non‑teaching period (mid‑June to mid‑September) the post‑holder will be expected to be on annual leave.
ResponsibilitiesDeliver a suite of English programmes in Transnational Education with NCUT or CQUPT, contribute to the successful delivery of the programmes, work within a growing team of EAP tutors, and develop and improve the student experience for undergraduate students who need to raise their level of English within the context of their degree subject.
