SEN Teacher - Uxbridge (September 2026)

We are proud to be working with an Outstanding Specialist College (Ofsted, November 2019) located in Hillingdon, dedicated to transforming the lives of young people and adults with a variety of special educational needs and/or disabilities.

The college supports learners with a broad spectrum of needs, including profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), complex communication challenges, behavioural difficulties, and specific medical conditions. Each student follows a highly individualised programme tailored to help them achieve their personal goals, gain greater independence, and integrate more fully into their communities.

We are seeking a passionate and creative SEN Teacher with expertise in PMLD to become a valued member of our friendly and committed team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering well-planned, differentiated lessons that cater to individual and group needs, fostering both progression and a high quality of learning. You should be confident in assessing student needs, delivering appropriate instruction, and measuring progress, all with a genuine commitment to making a positive impact on students' lives.

Lessons are thoughtfully designed to reflect student interests, abilities, and needs, making learning both meaningful and engaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver effective learning sessions within assigned curriculum areas.
  • Set learning objectives, carry out assessments, record and evaluate student progress.
  • Organise learning experiences that promote development and progression.
  • Uphold a strong commitment to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults.
  • Ensure that all teaching materials and equipment are safe and suitable for use.
  • Manage and request curriculum resources within the allocated budget.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Preferably hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Live in or be within easy commuting distance of Uxbridge.
  • Previous experience teaching students with special educational needs.
  • Experience working with learners with PMLD.
  • Hold or be working towards a Diploma in Education and Training (or equivalent).

If you're enthusiastic about supporting learners with complex needs and want to be part of a team that truly makes a difference, we encourage you to apply.
