Salary £1,174.05 per 14-night student programme

EFL Teachers are responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons following the ANGLO syllabus. ANGLO sessions promote the communicative approach with emphasis on speaking and listening skills. An overview of the role follows:

Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet the needs of ANGLO teenage students
Work closely with colleagues in the teaching team to deliver the ANGLO experience
Embrace the communicative approach to language teaching and create an engaging, inclusive learning environment in language lessons,excursion lessons and project lessons.

Your role &responsibilities

Liaising with the Teaching Manager and/or WTS with regards to all relevant teaching and student matters
Teaching levels andcourse types as directed by the TM/WTS, planning all classes sufficiently and marking students’ work
Selecting appropriate supplementary materials demonstrating sensitivity to the students’ needs and cultural backgrounds
Completing a weekly scheme of work
Completing attendance registers accurately and reporting any absence or sickness tothe TM/ATM at the beginning of each lesson
Being familiar with,and following guidelines outlined in the Teacher Manual
Attending and participating in teacher briefings, meetings and CPD sessions when required
Ensuring students are prepared for presentations, excursions, and cultural visits
Responding to anyissues, incidents and/or complaints in an appropriate andtimely manner; ensuring that the Teaching Manager is informed as required
Exploiting every opportunity for students to learn English both inside and outside the classroom
Creating a positive learning environment which is well-organised and supports the introduction of British culture as part of the curriculum
Providing students with adequate feedback on their work
Accurately completing the students’ academic reports
Following ANGLO’ssafeguarding and welfare policies at all times
Demonstrating a highlevel of professionalism at all times

Requirements

Essential(Please do not apply if you do not meet these requirements)

You have the rightto work in the UK
University degree +TEFLI qualification or equivalent experience (e.g.: CELTA,Trinity CertTESOL, PGCE, 120 hour TEFL course)
Dynamic teaching approach
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, team player attitude
Commitment tohigh-quality customer service, displaying a positive “can-do” attitude
Ability to workunder pressure, strong work ethic and ability to implement change
Committed to continuing professional development
Prior experience of teaching U18s
Experience of project-based courses and/or task-based learning
Experience of Trinity GESE exams

Full bed andboard is provided

Hours:

72 hours per 14-night student programme, plus one 6-hour paid induction and two 1-hour CPD sessions on campus. No overtime payment unless agreed in advance with Head Office.

On rare occasions wehave to offer 14-night 36 hour programmes, in which case hours and remuneration are halved. We will always let you know if this happens.
