We are recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join the SEN department at a college in Uxbridge from September. This role involves supporting learners with a range of additional needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). You will work closely with teaching staff to help students access learning, develop independence, and achieve their individual goals in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one and small group support to learners with additional needs.
- Support students during lessons and practical activities.
- Assist with personal care where required.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and social development.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
- Help create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.
- Previous experience working within an SEN school, specialist college, or healthcare setting is essential.
- Experience supporting individuals with MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD.
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with learners and staff.
