Position: Senior Lecturer (Education) - Lead for Clinical Communication Skills -13721 -1

Job Overview

Senior Lecturer – Academic Lead for Clinical Communication Skills (4‑year term, potential extension).

Location:

Brunel University London, Uxbridge Campus.

Salary:
Grade 10 (£64,267 – £69,976 per annum). Potential progression to £74,075 (inclusive of London weighting).

Hours:

Part‑time, 24 hours per week.

Contract:

Permanent.

Responsibilities
  • Design, deliver, manage quality and enhance the clinical communication skills curriculum across all MBBS years.
  • Lead educational initiatives such as Team‑Based Learning (TBL), personal tutoring, Multiple Mini Interviewing and Assessment (including OSCE).
  • Contribute to the GMC accreditation process.
  • Participate in medical education leadership activities as directed.
Qualifications
  • Senior, experienced educator in clinical communication skill teaching to undergraduate medical students.
  • Relevant training and experience; background may be from social sciences or psychology.
  • Proven experience of educational leadership and a track record of high‑quality undergraduate medical education, preferably in a university‑affiliated role.
  • Experience of medical undergraduate teaching and varied educational methods.
