Position: Senior Lecturer - 14509

Position Details

Senior Lecturer – Part‑time (28 hours per week), permanent, Grade 10, salary £64,267–£69,976 per annum inclusive of London weighting, with potential to progress to £74,075 through sustained exceptional contribution.

Brunel University London, Uxbridge Campus.

Overview

Brunel Medical School, established in September 2022, delivers a distinctive MBBS programme featuring early patient contact, team‑based learning (TBL) and programmatic assessment. Digital technologies and equality, diversity and inclusion principles underpin the student experience.

Responsibilities
  • Act as Course Director for the 5‑year MBBS programme, overseeing operational management, design, delivery and quality enhancement.
  • Lead a full curriculum review in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to medical education initiatives such as TBL, the personal tutor system, multiple‑mini interviewing and OSCE examination.
  • Participate in the ongoing General Medical Council (GMC) accreditation process.
  • Engage in leadership roles as required by programme needs.
Qualifications
  • Senior academic with demonstrated educational leadership.
  • Track record of high‑quality undergraduate medical education, preferably in a university‑affiliated role.
  • Extensive experience in undergraduate teaching and a broad range of educational skills.
