Teledyne Technologies Incorporated provides enabling technologies for industrial growth markets, including aerospace and defense, factory automation, environmental monitoring, electronics design, oceanographic research, oil and gas exploration, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the Design Organization Approval (DOA) for the UK Civil Aviation Authority (UK CAA).
  • Maintain the approval status of the UK DOA Handbook.
  • Support the UK CAA yearly audits related to the UK-CAA DOA.
  • Generate applications to be submitted to UK-CAA for obtaining Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) of Teledyne products.
  • Generate design to obtain UK-CAA STCs.
  • Lead design reviews.
  • Work with the US-based Certification department to help with US-based FAA STCs.
  • Generate US FAA STC minor modification data packages.
  • Support design reviews.
  • Maintain knowledge and training of the latest aviation regulations.
  • Obtain and maintain knowledge of Teledyne products to allow design and STCs.
  • Interpret existing aircraft design and develop electrical, mechanical, and functional interfaces and modifications to safely install and gain UK-CAA approval of Teledyne Controls avionics.
  • Generate manufacturing drawings and kit drawings.
  • Generate aircraft documentation including Master Data Lists, Weight and Balance, Electrical Load Analysis, Engineering orders and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness.
  • Generate compliance and substantiation documents for STC projects such as EWIS and System Safety Analysis.
  • Support First of Type (FOT) installations at domestic and international customer locations.
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or five-to six years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access);
Adobe Acrobat; and AutoCAD.

Other

Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of communication, navigation, surveillance, and data/voice recording avionics systems is an asset.

Work Hours, Travel and Availability

This is a full-time position of 37 hours per week located in the UK. The role may require long hours, weekend or holiday work, and overtime as needed. Travel is expected at approximately 10% domestic and international.
