Red Sky Personnel are recruiting an experienced Bid Manager for a specialist infrastructure contractor delivering rail, civil engineering, electrification and airport and station projects across the UK and Ireland.

Successful candidate will lead the bid process for rail and infrastructure opportunities, from the first qualification decision through to a winning submission.

The Role

* Leading the end-to-end bid and tender process for rail and infrastructure opportunities, from bid/no-bid decisions through to submission and post-submission clarifications.

* Planning and managing bid programmes, coordinating inputs from operations, commercial, engineering, planning and health and safety teams to hit every deadline.

* Writing, editing and quality-checking high-scoring tender responses, method statements, case studies and executive summaries.

* Working with estimators and commercial colleagues to develop competitive pricing and win strategies, aligned to client evaluation criteria.

* Managing pre-qualification questionnaires, framework applications and supplier assurance requirements for rail and infrastructure clients.

* Building and maintaining a library of bid content, case studies and lessons learned, and supporting the wider pipeline and business development effort.

* Supporting the delivery team to present the offer across its divisions, including electrification, civil engineering, permanent way and airports and stations.

What We’re Looking For

* Proven experience as a Bid Manager or Senior Bid Writer within rail, infrastructure, civil engineering or a similar construction sector.

* A track record of leading and winning tenders, frameworks and PQQs, with strong written skills and an eye for detail.

* Understanding of rail and infrastructure procurement, including client evaluation criteria, quality and price weighting, and supplier assurance schemes such as RISQS.

* Confident coordinating technical and commercial contributors, and managing multiple bids to tight deadlines.

* Strong commercial awareness, and the ability to translate technical delivery capability into persuasive, compliant submissions.

* APMP qualification is desirable but not essential. Full right to work in the UK.
