The Management Accountant (End-to-End Bookkeeping) takes ownership of end-to-end bookkeeping processes across our German and Jersey entities. This role requires a methodical professional who can maintain accurate financial records, perform reconciliations and consolidations, and provide insightful management accounting information to support business decision-making.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage the complete bookkeeping cycle for German and Jersey entities, including daily transactions, month‑end, and year‑end closing procedures
- Perform regular account reconciliations across all balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
- Prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards
- Develop and deliver comprehensive management accounting reports, including variance analysis, forecasting, and budgeting support
- Analyze financial data and provide clear explanations of financial performance to non‑financial stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with German accounting standards (HGB) and local regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate records for tax reporting purposes and assist with tax filings as needed
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in financial operations
- Support financial audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor queries
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide financial insights for business planning
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar accounting role with end-to-end bookkeeping responsibilities
- Business fluent German language skills (written and verbal)
- Demonstrable knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB)
- Experience with account reconciliations and financial consolidation processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Business Central and/or Navigen software
- Strong Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools
- Ability to work with multiple currencies and international accounting requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent)
- Experience working with Jersey financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and financial software implementation
- Previous experience in a multi‑entity or international business environment
- Understanding of UK/US GAAP or IFRS in addition to German HGB standards
- Experience with process automation and optimization in financial operations
- Knowledge of data visualization tools for financial reporting
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly to non‑financial colleagues
- Strong analytical mindset with problem‑solving capabilities
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving financial discrepancies
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with international teams
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Adaptable to changing priorities in a dynamic business environment
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with accounting standards
- High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information
