Observational Research Manager

KeySkills And Qualifications
- PhD in Epidemiology, Statistics, Genetic Epidemiology, or a related quantitative field
- Proven experience working with large healthcare datasets such as UK Biobank, CPRD, HES, or similar
- Strong epidemiological research background with hands‑on experience in observational data analysis
- Proficiency in statistical software such as SAS, R, or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for articulating complex scientific concepts
- Strong organizational and time‑management abilities to manage multiple projects effectively
- Ability to guide and collaborate with diverse analyst teams
- Familiarity with drafting Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) and developing medical code lists
- Experience in designing, executing, and analyzing epidemiology studies within pharmaceutical or public health settings
- Background in research supporting drug development
- Knowledge of additional large healthcare databases
- Experience in epidemiological project planning and management
- A track record of peer‑reviewed publications
- Ability to communicate complex epidemiological information to varied audiences
- A PhD in a relevant quantitative discipline with a few years of post‑PhD experience
- Prior involvement with UK‑specific healthcare datasets, especially UK Biobank or CPRD
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams within research or pharmaceutical environments
- Flexible to work primarily remotely with on‑site presence approximately 1-2 days per week for training and onboarding period
- Availability to start as soon as possible for a 12‑month contract
