People Policy and Compliance Lead

HRUC (Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges) is a successful merged college group based across 5 vibrant campuses.

Reporting to the People Policy and Organisational Compliance Manager, the role will develop, implement, and monitor HRUC’s people policies, processes, and compliance framework to ensure full adherence to education legislation, regulations and best practices.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop, review and update HRUC’s policies to ensure legal and regulatory compliance
• Implement processes to monitor compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, including safeguarding, data protection and equality laws risk
• Produce reports on compliance status for senior management, identifying key trends, risks and areas requiring improvement
• Serve as first point of contact for compliance, policy and complaints‑related queries from staff, senior management and external bodies

• At least 3 years’ experience in a compliance / regulatory related role
• Track record of implementing a compliance framework and monitoring progress, communicating to internal stakeholders
• Ability to understand, communicate and implement regulations, policies and guidance
• Strong working knowledge of safeguarding, GDPR, Equality and Diversity laws
• Methodical, thorough approach to work with strong attention to detail
