Senior Data Engineer

Canon EMEA is looking for a talented Data Engineer to take ownership of the design, development, and maintenance of robust data pipelines and cloud-based infrastructure across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft  this role, you will play a key part in ensuring seamless data integration and accessibility, enabling Canon's ITCG Marketing, eCommerce, and CRM teams to make data-driven decisions and deliver impactful customer and commercial initiatives.

Salary is between 49,091 - 58,441 + 10% bonus and benefits depending on experience and skills.

• Excellent SQL skills
• Understanding of data warehousing, data modelling concepts and structuring new data tables
• Knowledge of cloud-based data warehousing (Google Big Query)
• Experience developing in a BI tool (Power BI or similar)
• Python or R proficiency, particularly in areas of automation and integrations

Design, build, and maintain collections of sophisticated data pipelines, models and visualisations that integrate marketing and sales data with other internal and external data sources in Google Big Query and Power BI to support Canon’s ITCG marketing, ecommerce and CRM team initiatives.

Perform exploratory analysis using Python/R and SQL to uncover trends, anomalies, and business opportunities in ITCG digital marketing and sales data and present back insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
