Job Overview
The RDSO service supports the Brunel Research Community to identify and secure external funding from UK and international funders, manage and oversee contractual and compliance aspects of research and innovation projects, facilitate research collaborations with external partners, and manage the commercialisation of our research to deliver societal impact.
Location and Working ArrangementsLocation:
Brunel University London, Uxbridge Campus.
Working:
Full‑time. Hybrid working approach.
Contract:
Permanent.
Salary:
Grade 8 from £45,390 to £58,263 inclusive of London weighting. Potential to progress to £65,236 per annum inclusive of London weighting through sustained exceptional contribution. (Pro‑rata if part‑time).
Hours:
Full time.
- Facilitate growth in the University’s engagement with industrial and collaborative R&D sources, especially grants from Innovate UK.
- Work alongside leading academics and non‑academic partners to promote funding opportunities and prepare proposals.
- Deliver targeted initiatives to improve participation and success rates for collaborative research and innovation.
- Monitor evolving funding landscape and drive new initiatives to support the University’s ambitious research strategy.
- First degree and work experience within a Higher Education and/or research environment.
- Detailed knowledge of collaborative R&D funding schemes.
- Demonstrable experience of drafting and reviewing grant proposals alongside academic and industrial partners.
