Responsibilities

  • Conduct informal and formal needs assessments to recommend appropriate packaging products tailored to each customer.
  • Gather and document customer information, purchases, and reactions to products for accurate insights.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Building
  • Develop a rapport with customers, demonstrating a friendly and helpful manner to ensure they feel at ease.
  • Answer customers' questions about products and keep them informed about new offerings.
  • Actively listen to customer needs to drive repeat sales and upsell opportunities.
  • Foster positive working relationships with sales and customer service team members.
  • Take incoming sales calls and make daily outbound calls to existing and new customers.
  • Conduct mailshots and send mailers to existing or new customers to promote products and services.
  • Manage accounts handed over by senior management and support rejuvenation of business opportunities.
Order Processing & Follow-Up
  • Process orders efficiently via phone and email.
  • Follow up and chase sample requests to ensure timely delivery.
Professional Development & Compliance
  • Participate in training and professional development programs to apply new skills effectively.
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance to represent the company’s brand positively.
Operational Excellence
  • Meet set weekly targets and ensure consistent performance in sales activities.
  • Operate the Live Chat System to assist and engage customers.
  • Be comfortable working independently and making minor decisions without direct supervision.
Essential Qualifications
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of food packaging would be a benefit but not essential
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Work as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel as needed at exhibitions/trade shows and customer site visits across the UK (Valid UK Driving License required)
