Sanctuary Personnel is hiring a permanent Supervising Social Worker to join the Fostering Team in Uxbridge, London. The role is full‑time and offers a salary of up to £38,000 per annum.
Main duties- Liaise with placing authorities and other professional services to ensure child care plans are followed.
- Undertake annual foster carer reviews and present findings to the fostering panel.
- Manage a caseload of approved and registered foster carers.
- Provide day‑to‑day support and guidance for foster carers.
- Participate in selecting and matching potential foster carers.
- Conduct assessments of prospective foster carers using the BAAF(F1) competency‑based assessment.
- Provide placement reports in accordance with Fostering Innovations practice and the placing authority.
- Gather evidence for the Training Support and Development Standards.
- Keep accurate records of all work in line with regulations and policy.
- Attend supervision, team meetings and staff development days.
- Collect and review feedback from foster carers.
- Assist in developing and delivering ongoing training for foster carers.
- Participate in carer team meetings and workshops.
- Support strategic business development to promote organisational growth.
- Seek continuous service improvement.
- Continue professional development.
- Engage fully in creative meetings for development.
- Build and maintain relationships with foster carers, placing authorities, social services and other professional organisations.
- Comply with finance policy regarding petty cash and staff expense procedure.
- Social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
- Experience managing social work caseloads and supervising others.
- Experience in community and/or group work.
- Knowledge of children’s health and social care systems, agencies and relevant legislation.
