Work Pattern: Hybrid, 9 am till 5 pm (Mon – Fri), 36 hours a week
PAYE Pay Rate: £20.38 per hour
Main Purpose of the RoleTo provide an effective end-to-end tenancy management service for social housing residents, supporting tenants throughout their tenancy and helping to prevent tenancy failure and homelessness.
The role involves being a visible and accessible presence within the neighborhood, dealing with tenancy issues, supporting vulnerable residents, managing risks and working with internal teams and external partners to resolve problems and maintain safe, sustainable tenancies.
Typical Day- Visit estates and meet residents.
- Carry out tenancy checks and property visits.
- Manage tenancy and ASB cases.
- Speak with vulnerable tenants and support services.
- Deal with access and compliance issues.
- Investigate tenancy breaches and take appropriate action.
- Liaise with contractors, Council teams and external partners.
- Update case records and prepare reports.
- Attend meetings, case conferences and neighborhood walkabouts.
- Manage end-to-end social housing tenancies and casework.
- Support vulnerable and at-risk tenants and prevent tenancy failure.
- Investigate and manage ASB, neighbor disputes and tenancy breaches.
- Carry out tenancy checks, property visits and risk assessments.
- Manage access issues for gas, electrical and planned works.
- Handle mutual exchanges, Use & Occupation cases and decants.
- Apply housing and landlord & tenant legislation appropriately.
- Take enforcement action and prepare formal notices and court documentation where required.
- Work with Legal Services, contractors, Council teams and external partners.
- Use strong communication, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
- Maintain accurate case records, reports and performance information.
- Identify safeguarding concerns and respond appropriately to risk and emergencies.
- Engage hard-to-reach residents using a persistent and person-centered approach.
- Promote resident engagement, community involvement and tenancy sustainment
