Energy Electric Co., Inc. (EEC) is seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical construction projects, from initial bid through final proposal. The Electrical Estimator reviews drawings and specifications, performs takeoffs, solicits subcontractor/vendor pricing, and develops competitive bids that support EEC’s growth and profitability.

The Electrical Estimator plays a key role in advancing our operational success by ensuring projects begin with accurate, well‑developed budgets. Base pay range$/yr – $/yr
Electrical Estimator – Duties- Review project plans, specifications, and electrical drawings to determine scope of work.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Conduct quantity takeoffs for electrical systems (lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, low voltage, etc.).
- Analyze blueprints, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
- Identify and evaluate potential risks, value engineering options, and constructability issues.
- Solicit and review vendor and subcontractor quotations.
- Ensure estimates comply with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
- Prepare bid proposals, budgets, and cost breakdowns for submission.
- Attend prebid meetings, site visits, and project walkthroughs to assess conditions and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope and resolve design conflicts.
- Support project handoff by communicating estimate details and scope clarifications to operations teams.
- Stay current on industry pricing trends, materials availability, and labor rates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Proven experience as an electrical estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, NEC, and construction practices.
- Proficiency in electrical estimating software (such as Accubid, McCormick, Con Est, or similar).
- Ability to perform detailed material and labor takeoffs.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to wet or humid conditions, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold or extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
