Staff Accountant

Northbay Recruiter is partnering with a scaling, multi-entity organization in search of a Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant will share responsibility in executing the daily, weekly and monthly accounting tasks as part of the accounting cycle. Successful candidates will have a strong understanding of GAAP in addition to 1-2 years general accounting experience and a willingness to jump in where needed.

Strong ability to problem solve and work under tight deadlines are critical for the success of this position.

• Reconcile & maintain assigned accounts and perform analysis, researching any variances and identifying trends.
• Perform bank and credit reconciliations for assigned accounts.
• Partner with accounting staff to review and post journal entries and adjustments.
• Provide back up support in the processing of daily accounting tasks as needed (AP & AR).

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• 1-2 years general accounting experience within a mid sized company environment, preferably with increasing responsibility
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work collaboratively with teammates to resolve issues timely.
• ERP & Accounting Systems experience, in addition to intermediate level Excel.

$75, DOE + Benefits. Must be available to regularly within an office setting.
