Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psycho educational assessments and evaluations to identify students’ strengths and needs.
- Interpret assessment results and communicate findings to students, families, teachers, and staff.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs, BIPs, and academic interventions.
- Provide counseling and psychotherapy services individually and in group settings.
- Consult with teachers, parents, and staff to provide strategies and interventions to support academic, social, and emotional development.
- Conduct crisis intervention and support students/families in crisis or emergency situations.
- Participate in school‑wide initiatives related to school climate, positive behavior supports, social‑emotional learning, and mental health promotion.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of psychological assessments, counseling sessions, consultation meetings, and other documentation.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist.
- Previous experience working as a School Psychologist (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment measures, testing procedures, and diagnostic criteria.
- Excellent understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in assessment, counseling, and intervention techniques.
