At North Bay Health, our Radiation Therapists play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients undergoing radiation treatment. Using advanced ionizing radiation equipment, you will administer precise therapeutic doses of radiation as prescribed by physicians—most often in the treatment of cancer and other diseases.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver prescribed radiation treatments to specific areas of the patient’s body in accordance with physician orders.
- Operate radiation-producing equipment safely and accurately.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all treatment sessions, including treatment areas, radiation dosage, equipment settings, patient responses, and cumulative dose records.
- Monitor patients during treatment and report any unusual reactions or concerns to the care team.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, dosimetrists, and medical physicists to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of Radiation Therapy.
Licensure/
Certifications:
- Must hold a current State of California license in Radiation Therapy Technology (CRT‑Therapy).
- Must hold a current license with the American Registry of Radiation Technologists (ARRT).
- AHA or equivalent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Completion of annual requirements of North Bay Healthcare.
Experience: 1‑year experience as a radiation therapist preferred.
Skills:
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have basic computer skills.

Hourly Salary Range $80.28‑$96.80 (Offered hourly rate based on years of experience)
10% per diem differential included in salary range
