The Opportunity

The Prevailing Wage Specialist is responsible for managing prevailing wage compliance and payroll processing in accordance with federal, state, and local prevailing wage laws. This role requires a strong understanding of prevailing wage rates, fringe benefits, certified payroll reporting, and regulatory compliance
.

• Ensure compliance with all prevailing wage laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels
• Complete and submit all required regulatory forms at the onset of job awards, including DAS 140, DAS 142
  , and any additional documentation required by builders or awarding bodies
• Process weekly payroll accurately and timely, ensuring correct application of prevailing wage rates, overtime, and fringe benefits
• Review and verify employee timecards for accuracy and compliance with project-specific wage requirements
• Maintain detailed and accurate payroll recordsll, including hours worked, wages paid, and supporting documentation
• Prepare and submit certified payroll and prevailing wage reports to regulatory authorities
• Prepare and submit monthly training fund contributions to the State of California
• Prepare and submit monthly OCIP reporting
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Experience with payroll systems or the ability to learn payroll software quickly
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3–5 years of experience in prevailing wage compliance and payroll
• Prevailing wage experience required
• Preferred experience with Federal Davis‑Bacon and California prevailing wage laws
• Experience with SAGE 300

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds as needed
