- Establish, implement, and maintain payroll systems to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant payroll services.
- Provide lead work direction and training to co‑workers to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established procedures.
- Develop, document, and implement standardized work procedures and policy updates to address operational needs and enhance payroll compliance.
One (1) year of experience processing payroll. Experience must demonstrate:
- Experience with financial systems (i.e., SEMA4, OBIEE) and applications, database, spreadsheets, and other office applications.
- Experience with building, maintaining, and troubleshooting Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to support accounting and payroll processes.
- Experience resolving fiscal discrepancies and developing and implementing fiscal procedures.
- Experience interpreting and analyzing fiscal data, reports, and records.
- Experience with reconciliations and resolving variances or discrepancies.
OR
Three (3) years of administrative support experience in the area of payroll processes that demonstrates the following:
- Experience entering information into various financial systems (i.e., SEMA4, OBIEE) and applications, database, spreadsheets, and other office applications.
- Experience with building, maintaining, and troubleshooting Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to support accounting and payroll processes.
- Experience supporting the development and implementation of fiscal procedures.
- Experience entering and creating fiscal data, reports, and records.
- Experience with reconciliation and resolving variances or discrepancies.
Note:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related degree may substitute 1 year of administrative support experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance or closely related field
- Healthcare accounting and/or other government accounting experience.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple demands under tight time constraints.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience in performing individual or group presentations to explain, train, or negotiate.
- Experience of SEMA4 Payroll system and state of Minnesota policies and procedures.
