The MRI Technologist performs MRI scans to assist in the diagnoses of various diseases, ailments and injuries while providing excellent patient care.

This is a casual opportunity based at our Vadnais Heights Campus. Seeking a candidate that has availability/flexibility picking up shifts on Saturday from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM (schedule subject to change). Must be flexible to float to other Summit locations as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Review MRI screening form to ensure MRI safety of patient and prepare them to safely have their exam.
  • Position patients and perform exam as requested by physicians.
  • Perform MRI following established procedures and protocols for patient care, safety, and quality.
  • Review images to ensure image quality and communicate with CDI to ensure timely and accurate exam dictations.
  • Document and charge MRI exams appropriately.
  • Performs quality control checks to assure MRI equipment meets standards required by laws, rules, and departmental policies.
  • Cleans and maintains MRI equipment, work area, and department to ensure infection control and cleanliness.
  • Facilitate good communication with co-workers and throughout the organization.
  • Maintains supplies and orders as necessary.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications

Education

Associates of Radiologic Technology (required)

Experience

American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) license is required. (required) 3 years: 3-5 years of previous MRI experience preferred. (preferred)

Licenses & Certifications

Reg MRI Tech (preferred)

Skills

  • Basic Life Support (required)
