Vadodara, India

Shift Hours : 12.00 noon to 9.00 pm IST (5 days a week)

This Position

We’re looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing team. The Staff Accountant position will work closely with our other accountants and operations personnel across the global and handle day-to-day bookkeeping.

Responsibilities

Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions.

- Supporting the monthly close process with journal entry preparation
- Preparing monthly account reconciliations
- Assisting with tax filings, specifically VAT returns.
- Analyzing financial data to ensure proper accounting related to banks, prepaids and accruals.
- Adhering to all the accounting rules and regulations.
- Performing other duties as required.
- Process improvements.

Qualifications

- Education:

Bachelor's degree in commerce required
- 2+ years accounting experience
- Expertise with tally and google sheets
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Working knowledge on VAT, GST and TDS Filings
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management and communication skills
- Flexible to work for all branches of the organization
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- A close observation of accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Outstanding ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Able to read and understand technical forms and financial reports
- Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Sage Knowledge is a plus.
