We are looking for a technically strong QA Automation Engineer who enjoys understanding products deeply, questioning requirements, improving quality through automation, and eventually growing into a Product Owner role.
This is not a traditional testing role.
We are looking for someone who can understand business workflows, write functional stories, convert them into automated test scenarios, and ultimately help shape product direction.

What You'll Do
QA Automation
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites
Build automation scripts for web applications, APIs, and backend services
Create regression, smoke, integration, and functional automation suites
Participate in release validation and production readiness reviews
Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects through closure
Improve release quality through automation and process improvements
Work closely with developers to ensure quality is built into the product

Functional Analysis
Understand customer workflows and business processes
Participate in requirement discussions with Product and Engineering teams
Analyze functional requirements and identify gaps, edge cases, and exceptions
Convert requirements into:
User Stories
Acceptance Criteria
Test Scenarios
Test Cases
Automated Test Scripts
Validate that delivered functionality meets customer expectations

Must Have Skills Automation Testing
Strong hands-on experience with Selenium
Experience in API Automation Testing

Experience with Protractor and/or modern automation frameworks
Experience testing REST APIs using Postman, Swagger, REST Assured, or similar tools
Experience creating automation suites from scratch

Functional Thinking
Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into automated test scenarios
Ability to write structured functional stories and acceptance criteria
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to identify edge cases and negative test scenarios

Technical Skills
Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, or Type Script
SQL and database validation experience
Understanding of JSON, XML, and API integrations
Git and version control systems
CI/CD concepts and automation pipelines

Process & Collaboration
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Good To Have
Playwright or Cypress experience
Performance testing exposure
Product Management certification or training

Experience with SaaS products
Experience in Aviation, BFSI, CRM, Contact Center, Messaging, or Communication platforms
Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS
