Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Expanded Function Dental Assistant to join our team at Vail Family Dentistry. The Expanded Function Dental Assistant will be responsible for providing a variety of dental services, such as taking impressions, placing fillings, and performing routine dental procedures. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with patients in a professional and friendly manner.
Responsibilities:- Assist dentists in providing dental services to patients
- Take impressions, place fillings, and perform other routine dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient appointments
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments
- Educate patients on dental hygiene and preventive care
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during dental procedures
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA)
- Previous experience in a dental office
- Knowledge of dental instruments and materials
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols
