About the Opportunity
Vail Health has become the world’s most advanced mountain healthcare system. Our updated 520,000‑square‑foot, 56‑bed hospital provides exceptional care to all patients in a beautiful setting centrally located in Vail.
What You Will Do- Assist with and perform patient care including collection of patient information, accurate reading and documentation of vital signs, and recording input and output activities and treatments on the EMR.
- Coordinate the daily patient flow and schedule to optimize patient care, safety and satisfaction, including preparing rooms for exams and procedures.
- Receive and implement instructions and orders accurately, demonstrating collaboration with providers.
- Apply clinical knowledge to all patient types and age groups to meet patient care needs and outcomes within the practice.
- Perform various office procedures such as scheduling, admitting, and discharging patients.
- Maintain diagnostic and medication logs as required by policy and document patient care services accurately in patient and department records.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe working environment and adhere to infection control policies and protocols.
- Display cultural competency and ability to work with diverse patient populations.
- Maintain assigned patient equipment processes, including cleaning, maintenance, and management of equipment such as CPM, compression devices, hot/cold devices, and telemetry devices.
- Model the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.
Experience
- One year of experience as a care tech preferred.
License(s)
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) by the state of Colorado
- Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) by the state of Colorado
Certification(s)
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
Computer / Typing
- Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job‑specific competencies and access online forms and policies.
Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.

Hourly pay based on education and experience ranges from $22 to $28.39 USD.
