Travel Surgical Technologist

American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist for a Colorado surgery center position requiring an active state license and BLS certification.

• Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or Licensed Surgical Technologist status
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• Active Colorado Surgical Technologist license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
• Ability to lift up to 20-35 lbs occasionally

• Operating room setting at a surgery center
• 3x12 day shift schedule
• Supports surgical procedures across Tier 1 case types
• Cares for patient populations ranging from neonatal to geriatric
• Works under the direction of a Registered Nurse
• Maintains sterile and aseptic technique while assisting the surgical team with instrumentation
• Checks instrument packaging, sterility indicators, and expiration dates to ensure a safe operating environment
• Monitors the sterile field for contamination risks and initiates corrective action under supervision
• Participates fully in Time Out processes, including briefings and debriefings
• Assists with patient transport, room turnover, and room preparation
• Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization
• Maintains working knowledge of AORN standards and new surgical technologies
• Must be HIPAA compliant
• CAPS registration required and may take up to two weeks to process
