American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for a rotating shift assignment requiring RDMS or ARRT(S) certification and BLS.
Requirements- Active CO state license required
- RDMS (ARDMS) or ARRT with Sonography (S) credential required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Previous experience performing radiographic and ultrasound examinations preferred
- License required if applicable
- Diagnostic Imaging department performing general abdominal, OB, and small parts ultrasound exams
- 4x10 hour rotating shifts
- 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours
- Uses HIS and PACS computer systems for documentation
- Perform ultrasound examinations according to facility protocols and review each exam for technical accuracy before sending to radiologist
- Identify patients, verify exam orders and review consistency of demographic information
- Maintain constructive communication with patients, families, physicians and care team members
- Determine the best method of obtaining exams with minimal or no supervision
- Maintain department policies, confidentiality, quality assurance, safety and infection control standards
- Monitor supply inventory and keep exam and dressing rooms stocked and neat
- Must be HIPAA compliant
- CAPS registration required and may take up to two weeks to obtain
