Manager, Food & Beverage – Gravity Haus
Oversee all aspects of restaurant and bar operations in the Slope Room to deliver exceptional service, quality, and hospitality in alignment with Gravity Haus standards. Manage day‑to‑day F&B operations, including dining outlets, bar service, and events, while ensuring profitability, efficiency, and compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, bar, and related outlets, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Monitor quality, presentation, and consistency of food and beverage offerings.
- Partner with the culinary team to align menus, specials, and promotions with guest preferences and brand standards.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial goals for the restaurant and bar.
- Monitor labor, beverage, and food costs, implementing strategies to maximize profitability.
- Manage inventory processes, including ordering, receiving, and stock control of food, beverages, and supplies.
- Recruit, hire, train, and mentor F&B staff, ensuring alignment with Gravity Haus values and service standards.
- Assist in creating staffing schedules and oversee labor allocation to balance efficiency and guest needs.
- Foster a positive, team‑oriented culture that encourages accountability, growth, and recognition.
- Lead pre‑shift meetings to communicate goals, events, and expectations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for guest inquiries, feedback, and escalated service issues.
- Promote a culture of haus’pitality by ensuring all staff provide friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive service.
- Coordinate special events, private dining, and bar activations to enhance the guest and member experience.
- Manage bar operations, including drink menus, cocktail development, and product offerings.
- Maintain vendor relationships for beer, wine, and spirits, ensuring diverse and appealing selections.
- Train bar staff on mixology, responsible alcohol service, and guest engagement.
- Work closely with the General Manager, Executive Chef, and other property leaders to ensure seamless coordination across departments.
- Support cross‑functional initiatives to drive membership value, event participation, and overall guest satisfaction.
- Serve as a brand ambassador, embodying the Gravity Haus lifestyle and values.
- 3+ years of experience in restaurant, bar, or F&B management (hotel or resort environment preferred).
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including bar management, cost control, and service standards.
- Proven leadership skills with experience hiring, training, and motivating diverse teams.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
- Working knowledge of POS systems, inventory management, and scheduling software.
- Food Safety Manager Certification and TIPS (or equivalent) certification preferred.
- Appreciation for and commitment to sustainability, the outdoors, and personal growth.
- Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
