The Resident Assistant functions as a member of the nursing staff under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Nurse who is the Team Leader; performs basic routine nursing tasks that provide for the comfort and care of the patient or resident, these duties/tasks center around the resident by assisting them in all activities of daily living. Reports observation of patients to the Team Leader;
performs functional tasks that maintain the orderliness of the nursing unit and contributes to the effective overall functioning of the clinical area.
- Perform basic routine nursing tasks to provide comfort and care, assist residents with activities of daily living, and support the nursing team under supervision of a Registered or Licensed Nurse who is the Team Leader.
- Report observations of patients to the Team Leader; help maintain orderliness of the nursing unit and contribute to the effective functioning of the clinical area.
- Coursework/Training:
Successful completion of a state-approved nursing assistant course. - Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
- 6 months - Experience as a nurse aide, nursing assistant or private care giver.
Up to $2,500 hiring bonus and relocation assistance for eligible full-time external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
