This team designs, builds, and operates fiber, wireless, and long-haul networks that support entire communities, critical infrastructure, and public services across remote and rugged terrain. Responsibilities- Maintains corporate vehicle fleet by managing care and maintenance of vehicles, procuring new vehicles and disposing of vehicles as needed.
- Oversees ongoing maintenance of all buildings, grounds, structures, and wireless network infrastructure. Visits offices, warehouses, buildings, & facilities to ensure proper operations and maintenance. Oversees security for all CVTC physical facilities.
- Prepares annual departmental budget, administers budget, and tracks budgeted Õ¾ items in comparison to actual expenses.
- Coordinates and provides information for routine audits including activities, purchases, inventory control, facilities operations and security.
- Ensures emergency response preparedness for facilities operations and purchasing functions.
- Ensures facilities work orders and job orders are properly closed out or completed. Ensures timely completion of forms or forwarding of information to maintain accurate facilities and purchasing records.
- Researches new communications devices and services and determines applicability to CVT.
- Develops and maintains strong working relationships with other departments and personnel.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned by executive management.
- Knowledge of RUS specifications, NEC, and NESC codes.
- Knowledge näkē of equipment, materi, and service purchasing to support construction and maintenance operations.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance requirements.
- Knowledge of wireless spectrum and transmission principles, cellular telecommunications systems, and microwave transport equipment.
- Ability to effectively manage personnel, create a team environment and sustain employee morale.
