The role of an infant/toddler teacher is not purely academic. They need to ensure the safety of children under their care and supervise them during activities. Working primarily in daycare centers and preschools, these professionals exhibit behavior management techniques conducive to the organization’s philosophy. They are expected to perform several tasks to ensure the health and safety of children. To contribute to a high standard of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for children in the setting.
- To give support to other personnel within the Setting.
- To implement the daily routine in each room. Work with Children

- A commitment to the provision of high-quality childcare
- A positive approach to learning and gaining new skills through teamwork and training opportunities (Monday to Friday, 25-30 hours/week.)
To contribute to a planned programme of activities suitable to the age range of children in conjunction with other staff;
- To keep a proper record of achievement file on key children, for parents/carers;
- Work alongside parents/carers of special needs children to provide full integration in the Setting;
- Support all staff and engage in a good staff team;
- Uphold standards within the Setting by adhering to all policies and procedures; or management techniques conducive to Bemiss Academy’s philosophy and Bright from the Start rules and regulations. Must and expected to perform tasks to ensure the health and safety of children at all times. Must supervise children at all times. Be constantly aware of the needs of children.
