Radiation Therapist – $40,000 Sign-On Bonus, Pearlman Cancer Center

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Valdosta, GA, for a Radiation Therapist. The Radiation Therapist will administer radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist, ensuring precision and safety. Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients for treatment, calibrating and maintaining radiation equipment, and monitoring patient responses to therapy.

Collaboration with a multidisciplinary oncology team to ensure optimal patient care is a key aspect of the role.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in operating radiation treatment equipment and understanding radiation safety protocols
  • Strong patient care skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with patients and address their concerns
  • Background in medical imaging, anatomy, and physiology to ensure accurate patient positioning and treatment planning
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities to maintain accurate treatment documentation
  • Certification as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT) and a valid state license for radiation therapy in Georgia
  • Experience working in oncology or a healthcare setting is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to dynamic clinical needs and schedules
