SCHEDULEPRN, Varied Hours/Shift, 8
POSITION SUMMARYProvides technical and clerical support for EKG services. Performs 12‑lead EKGs. Applies Holter Monitors. Copies and distributes reports. Enters and acknowledges orders.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESHigh school graduate (preferred) with current CPR certification. Formal coursework in preparation for a career in a medical field is beneficial. Attendance at seminars and in‑services related to cardiovascular science is desirable. One year’s experience in a clinical area, preferably cardiac related, is also desired. Should have a basic understanding of patient care and relations. Must complete Basic Dysrhythmia course during the first year of employment.
Must be in good health with no physical limitations that would prevent fast continued walking, pushing a cart, and climbing flights of stairs. Mental effort involving responsibility for considering the condition of the patient indicated by tracings and reporting unusual circumstances as necessary.
