Material Handler – 3rd Shift

Join Saft as a Material Handler and play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate receipt of materials into the plant.

• Receive all raw materials into SAFT's material planning database.
• Unload raw materials delivered by freight carriers.
• Unload materials delivered to the outside and off‑site warehouse.
• Physically transfer stock from the receiving dock to SO2 metals rip locations.
• Key all transactions into appropriate stock and rip locations.
• Receive and organize items returned from customers, transferring them to the MRB holding area.
• Notify planners of damaged material shipments and shortages.
• Provide backup for Material Handler, Shipping Coordinator, and MRO Clerk as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience with computerized inventory systems is a plus.
• Ability to operate a forklift/aisle stacker within 30 days of assignment.
• Basic knowledge of the local business and hazardous materials shipping/RCRA requirements.
