The Packing Assistant Supervisor supports the Packing Supervisor in the direction, coordination, and oversight of daily packing operations. This role provides hands‑on leadership to Line Leads and team members, ensuring compliance with production schedules, quality requirements, safety rules, and documentation standards.

• Assist with planning labor, materials, and equipment.
• Lead multiple packing lines and ensure continuous product flow.
• Support corrective action and coaching discussions.
• Train team members on safety, quality, GMPs, and SOPs.
• Validate documentation accuracy including counts, labels, waste, downtime.
• Conduct pre‑op inspections and participate in safety/GMP audits.
• Communicate operational needs with QA, Smokehouse, and Maintenance.
• Identify quality improvement opportunities and report findings.
• Serve as acting supervisor when assigned.

• High school diploma/GED required; college preferred.
• 2–3 years leadership experience in production.
• Strong communication and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Basic computer knowledge (Excel, ADP, etc.).

• Cold environment (45°F).
• Wet floors, moving mechanical parts.
• Moderate to high noise levels.

• Standing/walking majority of shift.
• Bending, stooping, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Close and distance vision, color distinction, depth perception.
