JOB LOCATION : Main Campus
DEPARTMENT: RADIOLOGY ADMINISTRATION
SCHEDULE: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, 8-4:30p
Position SummaryProvides nursing care and monitoring to patients while in the various sections of Medical Imaging following the established Standards of Care. Responsible for Infection Control and assist in QA/PI processes in Medical Imaging. Assists in Special Procedures section in providing care for the patient undergoing interventional procedures including pre-procedure, intra-procedure and post-procedure care of the patients.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse with the Georgia Board of Nursing.
- Strong ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of personnel at all levels within and external to organization. Ability to develop and grow a competent, caring team.
- Ability to communicate clearly with and care for a diverse population of patients/family units of all ages, variety of cultures, etc.
- Flexible in work schedule, assignments and work load.
- Ability to document clinical information, etc.
- Ability to develop and interpret the policies and procedures of South Georgia Medical Center, regulatory agencies standards and rules, etc.
- Strong clinical skills.
- The ability to compress the arterial site until hemostasis is achieved.
ADA INFORMATION
Duties require considerable sitting, standing, stooping bending, lifting (in excess of 50 pounds), pushing objects (wheelchairs, stretchers). Comfortable conditions, subject to irregular schedules, including weekends, exposed to high levels of stress. Work may require exposure to communicable diseases.
