Join SGMC Health as a Registered Nurse in Valdosta, GA. This role is full time, 12 hour day shift, 7a‑7p, located at the Main Campus in the MEDICAL ONCOLOGY department.

• Provides patient care through assessment and implementation of the nursing process for all age groups on the unit.
• Performs and assists with procedures.
• Documents care provided.
• Coordinates patient’s plan of care with physicians and other disciplines.
• Maintains an atmosphere that consistently supports SGMC Health’s mission, vision, values and standards.

• RN license in the State of Georgia.
• CPR required.
• One (1) year experience in a related specialty area preferred.
• Strong clinical nursing skills in assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Ability to assess, adapt to new situations, think critically and manage priorities.
• Excellent communication skills with a diverse patient population.
• Proficient in operating clinical equipment, computer and telecommunication devices.

Hospital setting with significant standing, bending, lifting (over 50 lbs.) and exposure to blood and body fluids. The role requires physical capability as defined by the Saunders Method (very heavy).
