The Staff Nurse RN is responsible as a member of the Hospice Interdisciplinary Team for the provision and supervision of skilled nursing care to maximise the comfort and health of hospice patients and their families. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to deliver evidence-based care, manage patient needs, and assist with admissions, referrals, and call coverage.
Responsibilities- Provide skilled nursing care and symptom management in accordance with physician orders and the plan of care.
- Assist with scheduled and/or PRN visits, referrals, admissions, and call coverage.
- Assess patient and family needs; collaborate with team members to ensure supportive care and symptom management.
- Participate in the development, maintenance, and supervision of the plan of care for certified nursing assistant services.
- Work variable shifts in inpatient setting as staffing or census needs dictate.
- Current licensure as a professional Registered Nurse in Georgia (BSN or higher preferred).
- One year experience in related specialty area preferred.
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care.
- Positive attitude and effective communication with interdisciplinary team, physicians, families, and community agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and problem‑solving skills.
- Certification in hospice/palliative care strongly preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
- Current Georgia driver’s license and reliable, licensed, insured vehicle.
Hospice – AR – Hospice House – PRN, SHIFT variable.
