SCHEDULEFull Time, 8 HR Day Shift,
POSITION SUMMARYThe PCC has 24 hour accountability for unit function; provides leadership, supports team efforts and promotes cost effective, quality patient care via participation and supervision of personnel and through coordination of unit activities. Possesses strong clinical and leadership skills. Possesses knowledge and skill necessary to provide care appropriate to age of patients served. Projects professionalism via actions and attire.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES- Education/Certification ⚬ Current nursing licensure in Georgia ⚬ BSN preferred ⚬ CPR required.
- Ability to understand and adhere to job responsibilities/limitations
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
- Ability to deal with multiple issues involving abstract and concrete variables
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret pertinent data
- Ability to understand and follow policy and procedures
- Ability to interact diplomatically with patients, families and health care team members
- Regularly required to walk, reach and stretch with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects and control knobs of equipment and/or instruments.
- Frequently required to stand for long periods of time; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear; and smell.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
- Visual abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision.
- Depth vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals risk of electrical shock and risk of radiation.
- Frequently works near moving mechanical parts and with explosive materials
- Occasionally excessive strength is required to restrain confused or combative patients
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
