Lead Veterinarian – Valdosta, Georgia

A thriving small animal practice in Georgia is seeking a Lead Veterinarian to guide its medical team and champion high standards of patient care. This leadership position plays a key role in shaping medical quality, mentoring team members, and ensuring a collaborative and positive work culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted medical leader, promoting collaboration, professionalism, and respect among team members

  • Oversee the delivery of exceptional patient care and client communication

  • Partner with hospital leadership to develop and uphold medical standards and protocols

  • Provide mentorship and support for veterinarians and clinical staff

  • Manage a diverse caseload and ensure smooth clinical operations

  • Contribute to the professional development of team members through coaching and continuing education

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
  • DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college (or equivalent certification)

  • Active veterinary license (or eligibility) in the state of Georgia

  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

  • Commitment to maintaining high-quality medical standards and a positive team culture
