Site Safety Officer – Industrial Facility

Location: Valdosta, GA
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on experience

We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Site Safety Officer to support daily safety operations at an established industrial facility in Valdosta, Georgia.

This is a hands-on, predominantly outdoor position requiring an active presence throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting safety inspections, observing daily operations, identifying potential hazards, and engaging with employees to promote a safe working environment.

This is not a desk-based position. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors and interacting directly with employees, supervisors, and daily operations.

• Conduct routine facility safety surveys and inspections.
• Observe daily operations and identify potential safety hazards.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Engage with employees and supervisors to reinforce safe work practices.
• Monitor proper use of PPE and safe equipment operations.
• Document safety concerns and communicate corrective actions.
• Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate safety records.
• Assist with incident reporting and safety-related initiatives.

• Industrial or manufacturing safety experience preferred.
• OSHA 10 preferred; OSHA 30 strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices and OSHA regulations.
• Strong communication, observation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to professionally address unsafe practices.
• Basic computer skills and documentation experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work independently.

This position requires spending the majority of the workday outdoors.

Candidates must be comfortable working in heat, cold, rain, and dry or dusty conditions. The position requires frequent walking, standing, and movement throughout an active industrial facility.

$25.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
