Our client is seeking a data-driven and system-savvy Procurement & Sourcing Specialist to optimize our upstream procurement pipeline using Workday Strategic Sourcing. In this role, you will bridge the gap between initial supplier engagement and final contract execution.
You will work closely with our Accounts Payable (AP) and Finance teams to ensure all vendor agreements, pricing sheets, and compliance data flow seamlessly into our downstream purchasing and invoicing systems. The ideal candidate has deep, hands-on experience launching RFx events, managing supplier relationships, and enforcing contract compliance directly within the Workday ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- RFx and Sourcing Event Management: Lead, build, and execute complex RFI, RFP, and RFQ events within the Workday Strategic Sourcing platform, including automated bid analysis and side-by-side supplier evaluations.
- Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM): Author, negotiate, and centralize master service agreements (MSAs) and statements of work (SOWs) in Workday, ensuring all pricing structures link properly to future Purchase Orders (POs) to enable seamless three-way matching for AP.
- Supplier Onboarding and Risk: Manage the Workday supplier network portal, vetting vendor credentials, diversity metrics, tax documentation, and financial risk profiles prior to onboarding.
- Spend Analytics and Insights: Utilize Workday Spend Analysis tools to monitor contract compliance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and eliminate unapproved "maverick" spending.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with the Accounts Payable Manager and legal teams to resolve supplier data discrepancies, streamline the source-to-pay workflow, and ensure smooth downstream payment execution.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, corporate procurement, or supply chain analytics.
- Systems: Minimum 1–2 years of direct, hands-on experience using the Workday Strategic Sourcing module (formerly Scout RFP) or the broader Workday Spend Management suite.
- Procurement Knowledge: Strong understanding of upstream sourcing methodologies, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.
- Financial Alignment: Familiarity with how upstream contracts dictate downstream purchase orders and AP invoicing workflows.
- Skills: Advanced proficiency in data analysis, Excel, and vendor communication.
