Position: Physician Assistant--Critical Care (Per Diem)

Physician Assistant – Critical Care (Per Diem) Summary

Westchester Medical Center is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). This strictly inpatient, nonoperative critical care role involves working with a team to manage diverse trauma and surgical patients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform medical evaluations, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and consultations for diverse surgical critical care patients.
  • Respond to, manage, and deliver direct patient care as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
  • Gain competency in procedures including central line placement/removal, chest tube insertion/removal, and arterial line placement.
Qualifications
  • Board certified as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or able to obtain a New York license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Critical Care experience (new graduates considered).
  • Excellent communication‑skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications.
Location & Compensation

Valhalla, NY (Westchester Medical Center). Salary range: $ – $ per annum (per diem).
