Part‑Time After School Instructor
Location:
Valhalla, NY
Join us at Easterseals for an exciting career as a Part‑Time After School Instructor.
Responsibilities- Administer direct supervision of children at Easter Seals and at school sites.
- Generate age‑appropriate lesson plans for each area of instruction.
- Ensure safety and promote active learning through age‑appropriate activities and play.
- Set up appropriate study group homework incentives.
- Attend required staff meetings.
- Maintain required in‑service training hours.
- Administer scheduled snacks.
- Complete accurate incident reports when necessary.
- Group Teacher:
Associate’s degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field or School‑age Child Care Credential or other office‑recognized credential specific to the school‑age developmental period and one year experience working with children less than 13 years of age, or High School diploma or its equivalent and Two years direct experience working with children under 13 years of age. - Assistant Teacher:
High School diploma or its equivalent or one year experience working with children under 13 years of age. - Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Must possess a New York State Student Employment Certificate if under 18 years of age.
- $17 – $21 per hour.
