Lead X‑Ray Technologist (Special Procedures)

• Operate complex x‑ray equipment to take radiographs of various body portions using special procedures.
• Properly position patients, develop x‑rays, and maintain radiographic files for prescribed periods.
• Assist physicians in detecting foreign bodies and diagnosing diseases and injuries.
• Provide partial supervision to x‑ray technicians, non‑professional and clerical support staff, ensuring quality control and offering technical assistance.
• Perform related work as required.

Two years of experience in a hospital x‑ray department or a private radiological laboratory performing all types of diagnostic work, including operation of special procedures equipment such as CAT scan, angiographic or neurographic equipment.

• Valid license and current registration issued by the New York State Department of Health as a Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiography.
• Certification and current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography.

Must be certified and maintain current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in the field of Radiography.
