Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist at Blythedale Children's Hospital

Salary: USD $ - USD $ per year.

Blythedale Children's Hospital is a leading pediatric hospital dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care. As the only free‑standing children’s specialty hospital in New York State, we admit medically complex pediatric patients to our 94‑bed inpatient facility located 25 miles north of Manhattan. We offer a supportive work environment for healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Evaluation and therapy for complex medical children, ages birth to 18 years old, with varied diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment programs.
  • Provide counseling to patients and families regarding test results and establish treatment goals.
  • Create accurate documentation and reporting for all patient visits in an electronic medical record system.
  • Participate in multi‑disciplinary meetings with medical staff and the child’s educational team.
  • Familiarity with a variety of speech, feeding, and cognitive disorders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Ability to comply with all regulatory standards.
  • Second language proficiency is desired.
  • Highly flexible and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of pediatric experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Active New York State SLP license required.
  • ASHA certification preferred.
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients safely.
  • Ability to lift, pull, carry, bend, crouch, and balance patients from light to heavyweight.
