Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Inpatient Neuroscience)

Summary:

The Neuroscience team in the Northern Region, including Health Alliance Hospital in Kingston, NY and Mid Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY, seeks an enthusiastic and dynamic APP, Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our expanding service. The APP will work alongside experienced physician colleagues managing patients with diverse neurologic disease processes in the inpatient setting.

• Perform medical evaluations, treatment, follow-up and consultations for diverse neuroscience patients in the inpatient clinical setting.
• Deliver direct patient care as part of a collaborative patient care team.
• Gain competency in clinical workflows, protocols, and applicable procedures necessary in the comprehensive approach to care of neurology patients.

• Board certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, with or the ability to obtain an applicable license in New York.
• Minimum of 1 year experience, though new graduates with neuroscience interest and abilities are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
